We're 100% SiteWise Gold Accredited: What That Means for You
We're proud to share that our team has achieved SiteWise Gold accreditation with a perfect score — and we wanted to take a moment to explain what that actually means, and why it matters for the clients and sites we work with every day.
What is SiteWise?
SiteWise is New Zealand's leading health and safety prequalification system, run by Site Safe. Each year, businesses submit detailed evidence of their health and safety management — things like site-specific plans, hazard controls, incident reporting, and staff training records — and are independently assessed and scored out of 100%.
That score determines your grading:
-
Red (0–49%) — does not meet minimum safety standards
-
Orange (50–74%) — basic safety frameworks in place
-
Green (75–89%) — a solid pass, and the standard most main contractors require before allowing a subcontractor on site
-
Gold (90–100%) — the top tier, reserved for businesses with exceptional, well-evidenced health and safety systems
Why Gold — and a perfect score — is a big deal
Very few businesses reach Gold status, and fewer still do it with a perfect 100% score. It's not a box-ticking exercise; it's a rigorous, evidence-based audit of how safety is actually built into our day-to-day operations — from how we train our cleaning staff, to how we manage hazardous chemicals and equipment, to how we respond when something goes wrong.
Achieving this score tells you three things about how we operate:
-
Every staff member is trained and equipped properly. Our people aren't just shown how to do the job — they're trained in the safety practices that protect them and your site.
-
Our systems are audited and current, not just written down once and forgotten. Chemical registers, safety data sheets, hazard assessments, and incident procedures are live documents we actively maintain.
-
We take our duty of care seriously. Whether we're cleaning an office, a warehouse, or a commercial facility, our approach to safety doesn't change depending on the site or the client.
What this means if you're choosing a cleaning provider
If your organisation requires contractors to be prequalified — which is increasingly standard practice for commercial and government sites — our SiteWise Gold status means we already meet, and exceed, that bar. There's no back-and-forth chasing paperwork or safety documentation before we can start work; it's already been independently verified.
More practically, it means:
-
Lower risk exposure for your business when engaging us as a contractor
-
Fewer delays getting cleaning crews approved to work on your site
-
Confidence that our health and safety culture matches the standards you hold yourself to
Safety as a culture, not a certificate
A perfect SiteWise Gold score isn't something you achieve once and file away — it has to be renewed annually, which means maintaining this standard year after year. For us, that's the point. Health and safety isn't a compliance requirement we meet reluctantly; it's part of how we've built the business, and it's reflected in every site visit our team makes.
